Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up the Power BI Widget

Before proceeding, ensure that your Environment access level user has established a connection to the Power BI service on Facts as described here. Once that's in place, you can select the relevant connection from the PowerBIService Connection dropdown.
- Navigate to Dashboards.
- Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
- Click on the Add Widget icon.
- Select Power BI Widget and click Next.
- Fill out the following fields:
- Widget Name: Enter a name for the widget (e.g., "Sales Dashboard").
- Power BI Widget Type: Choose either:
- Report: To embed a specific Power BI report.
- Dashboard: To embed a Power BI dashboard.
- Power BI Service Connection: Select the connection through which your Power BI resources are accessible.
- Power BI Resource: Choose the specific Power BI report or dashboard you want to embed. The dropdown will populate based on the selected service connection.
- Click Submit to finalize the widget setup.
- Click Save to apply the widget to your dashboard.
Your Power BI is now ready to provide advanced data visualizations and insights directly within the Facts platform.
