The Analytical Line Chart widget provides a visual representation of telemetry data over a defined time range, making it ideal for tracking trends and changes in key metrics. This chart allows users to analyze multiple data streams and compare them side-by-side. With the time shift feature, users can overlay shifted data to compare past and present trends more effectively.

  • Metric and Organizational Unit Selection: Select specific data metrics and organizational units for analysis.
  • Time Range Customization: Analyze data over predefined time ranges such as the last 7 days, last 30 days, or a custom range.
  • Multiple Line Charts: Add and compare multiple metrics or data sources within a single chart.
  • Time Shift: Compare data from different time periods by shifting the time unit (e.g., hours, days, weeks).
  • Thresholds: Set thresholds to highlight critical values on the chart for better data visualization.

Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up the Analytical Line Chart​

  1. Navigate to Dashboards.
  2. Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Click on the Add Widget icon.
  4. Select Analytical Line Chart and click Next.
  5. Fill out the following fields:
    • Metric: Select the metric you want to visualize (e.g., e.g., Electricity, Heat).
    • Organizational Unit: Choose the relevant organizational unit for the data.
    • (Optional) Enable Time Shift to overlay shifted data:
      • Time Shift Unit: Select the unit for the time shift (e.g., hour, day, week, month, year).
      • Time Shift Value: Enter the value to shift (e.g., 1 for one day back).
  6. Click Add Line Chart if you want to add more data streams for comparison.
  7. Enter the following details:
    • Widget Name: Provide a name for the widget (e.g., "Monthly Production Trends").
    • Time Range: Specify the time range for the chart (e.g., "Last 7 Days").
  8. Add a threshold (optional):
    • Click Add Threshold and configure the following:
      • Condition: Set a condition (e.g., greater than, less than) to define the threshold.
      • Value: Input the threshold value.
      • Color: Choose a color to highlight data points that meet the condition.
  9. Click Submit to finalize the widget setup.
  10. Click Save to apply the widget to your dashboard.

Your Analytical Line Chart is now ready, providing insights into trends and patterns over time with advanced comparison features like time shifts and thresholds.
