What is Visual Navigation in PA Facts?
The Visual Navigation feature in PA Facts is designed to provide an intuitive, visually driven way of exploring an organization's hierarchy and data. Rather than relying on traditional navigation methods, users can choose between three distinct views: Grid View, Map View, and Floor Plan View. These views allow users to explore organizational structures and access dashboards or data more effectively. Visual Navigation helps streamline the process of interacting with the organization's data, making it easier for users to access specific units, buildings, or departments, and to drill down into various levels of the hierarchy for more detailed insights.
Prerequisites for Visual Navigation
Before using Visual Navigation in PA Facts, ensure that the following prerequisites are met:
- Organizational and Organizational Units must be created and structured within the platform.
- To utilize the Floor Plan View, corresponding floor plans must be uploaded and associated with the relevant organizational levels.
- For the Map View, buildings or sites must have mapped locations tied to geographic data (e.g., Address, Latitude and Longitude).
What can you do in Visual Navigation?
Visual Navigation offers several key capabilities to enhance organizational data interaction:
- Grid View: View a simple list of organizational units, devices, or departments for easy navigation. This is particularly useful when floor plans or maps are not available.
- Map View: Visualize the geographic locations of multiple buildings or sites. Users can click on location markers to access site-specific insights and dashboards.
- Floor Plan View: Interact with an uploaded floor plan to navigate through a visual representation of a building or department. Users can see where each unit is located and access relevant data or dashboards by selecting units.
- Hierarchical Drill-Down: Seamlessly navigate through the organization’s hierarchy by clicking on elements in the map or floor plan to explore deeper levels of data.
