The Latest State Widget is a dynamic tool in the Facts platform designed to display the most recent telemetry data from connected devices in real time. This widget helps users monitor critical device metrics, providing up-to-date information that supports fast decision-making and operational efficiency. By focusing on the latest available data, the widget is particularly useful in scenarios where immediate insight into device performance or status is required.

Key Features:​

  1. Real-Time Updates: Displays the most recent data point from a selected device and its capability, ensuring users always see the latest information.
  2. Device and Capability Selection: Users can select any connected device (or "twin") and choose the specific capability to display, such as temperature, pressure, or battery level.
  3. Customizable Display: Users can customize the widget's display name and set conditions to highlight critical values, making the data both actionable and visually intuitive.
  4. Conditional Formatting: Allows users to apply visual cues (e.g., colors or labels) based on specific conditions, such as exceeding a threshold value. This makes it easier to identify critical data points at a glance.
  5. Precision Control: Offers the ability to define the number of decimal places for numerical data, ensuring precision and clarity.

Set up the Latest State Widget​

  1. Navigate to Dashboards.
  2. Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Click on the Add Widget icon.
  4. Select Latest State Widget and click Next.
  5. Fill out the form based on the image:
    • Select a twin: Choose the device from which to receive telemetry data.
    • Select a capability: Pick the specific capability to display in the widget.
    • Widget name: Enter a name for the widget.
    • Rounding: Specify the number of decimal places (e.g., 2).
  6. Click Submit to finalize the widget setup.

Your Latest State Widget is now configured and ready to use on your dashboard.
