This section describes all operations that a *Subscription access level * user can perform with Audit logs.

What are audit logs in Facts?

Audit logs are detailed, chronological records within Inimco.facts that capture specific actions performed by users. Each audit log typically includes:

  • Actor: The user or entity that performed the action, identified by an email or ID.

  • Timestamp: The exact date and time when the action occurred.

  • Action: What was done, such as adding or modifying data.

  • Entity: The specific item or resource that was affected by the action, often identified by a technical name or ID.

What can we do with the audit logs in Facts?

  • View All Audit Logs: Examine a comprehensive record of all activities and changes made within the system, providing full visibility over user interactions and system alterations.

  • View Audit Log Details: Access detailed information about specific audit entries, which can include the actor (user), the action performed, the date and time, and the entity affected.

  • Filter Audit Logs: Narrow down the audit logs based on various criteria to quickly find relevant entries.

Procedures

View an audit log details

  1. Navigate to the Audit logs section.
  2. Click > beside the audit log that you need to inspect.

Filter Audit Logs

Follow these steps to filter audit logs based on different criteria:

  1. Navigate to the Audit Logs section.
  2. Click the filter icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Use one of the following fields to filter the logs:
    • Actor's Email or Name: Enter the name or email of the actor.
    • Select Date Range: Choose the required date range from the dropdown.
    • Entity: Enter the name of the entity you want to filter by.
    • Operation ID: Input the operation ID to find specific logs.
  4. After entering the required information, click APPLY FILTERS.

By following these steps, you can efficiently view and filter audit logs to find the relevant information for monitoring system activities and ensuring compliance.
