Dashboard Template
This section describes all operations that a Subscription access level user can perform with Dashboard Templates
What is a Dashboard Template in Facts?
The Dashboard Template feature in Facts is a tool that allows users to create reusable layouts for dashboards, enabling faster and more consistent dashboard creation. Instead of configuring each dashboard from scratch, users can define a template that includes multiple pages and preconfigured widgets, ensuring a unified appearance across different dashboards. These templates can be used at the subscription level, providing organization-wide access to a standardized dashboard structure. Once a template is created, it can be selected when creating new dashboards, automatically applying the visual appearance and settings from the template to the new dashboard.
What Can You Do in the Dashboard Template Feature?
- Create reusable templates: Define dashboard templates with multiple pages and preconfigured widgets to ensure a consistent look and feel across your dashboards.
- Visual design and customization: Use the visual editor to arrange widgets and design the layout for your dashboard template. You can customize the appearance and settings for each widget within the template.
- Add multiple pages: You can add several pages to your dashboard template, each containing different widgets to display a variety of data sets.
- Hide/display widgets: Customize dashboards further by hiding or displaying widgets that are inherited from the template as needed.
- Template inheritance: Dashboards created from a template will inherit all visual appearances and settings from the template, ensuring standardization.
