Analytical Value Average Chart

The Analytical Value Average Chart is a versatile widget designed to calculate and display the average value of a selected metric over a specified time range. It can also show trends using the linear slope of the data, helping users analyze patterns. Conditional formatting is available to highlight key data points, but only when the Trend option is enabled.

Key Features

  • Metric and Organizational Unit Selection: Choose the specific data to analyze by selecting the metric and organizational unit.
  • Time Range Customization: Analyze data over predefined time ranges, such as the last 7 days, last 30 days, or custom intervals.
  • Trend Analysis: Display the linear slope of the data over the selected time range to identify upward or downward patterns.
  • Conditional Formatting: Highlight specific trends by applying conditions (e.g., greater than, less than) and custom colors.
  • Precision Control: Specify the number of decimal places for the displayed values.

Step-by-Step Guide to Set Up the Analytical Value Average Chart

  1. Navigate to Dashboards.
  2. Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Click on the Add Widget icon.
  4. Select Analytical Value Average Chart and click Next.
  5. Fill out the following fields:
    • Metric: Select the metric you want to analyze (e.g., e.g., Electricity, Heat, energy consumption).
    • Organizational Unit: Choose the relevant organizational unit for the data.
    • Widget Name: Enter a descriptive name for the widget (e.g., "Average Energy Consumption").
    • Time Range: Specify the time range for the analysis (e.g., "Last 7 Days").
    • Rounding: Set the number of decimal places for the displayed values (e.g., 2).
  6. (Optional) Enable additional options:
    • Toggle Minimum to display the minimum value for the time range.
    • Toggle Maximum to display the maximum value for the time range.
    • Toggle Trend to enable linear slope analysis over the time range.
  7. (Optional) Add a condition:
    • Conditions can only be added when the Trend option is enabled.
    • Click Add Condition and configure the following:
      • Condition: Select the condition type (e.g., Equals, Greater than, Less than).
      • Value: Input the trigger value for the condition.
      • Color: Choose a color to highlight data points that meet the condition.
  8. Click Submit to finalize the widget setup.
  9. Click Save to apply the widget to your dashboard.

Your Analytical Value Average Chart is now configured and ready to provide detailed insights into average values, trends, and conditional highlights for better decision-making.
