Verifying the Installation

  1. You can check that the IoT Edge service is running via:
sudo iotedge system status
  1. You can check the running modules via:
sudo iotedge list
  1. You can check configuration and connection status of the device via:
sudo iotedge check

You can expect a range of responses that may include Ok, Warning, or error.

In this scenario, 'production readiness' should not be considered a critical factor. If errors occur other than the 'wrong digital twin' error, it suggests an issue with the configuration, either due to incorrect setup of the digital twin.

That’s it! The machine should now be receiving its Edge deployment from the IoT Hub. Once the modules have been deployed, you’ll have to re-activate the IoT Taglists on the PP to apply their config to the new VM.
